The Lake Lucerne is the fourth largest lake in Switzerland. It is also knows as the lake of the four cantons (Lucerne, Uri, Nidwalden and Schwyz). Its shape reminds you of an octopus with 5 arms. The lake reaches from the city of Küssnacht in the north to the rural canton of Uri in the south. During summer the water temperature rises to 23 degrees. This invites for a dip in the deep blue water. There are several activities which can be done in, on and around the lake.
The dominant mountains surrounding Lucerne and its neighbouring cantons are a great place to spend a hot summer day. Whether for hiking, biking or simply to enjoy the mind-blowing views.
Lucerne in summer, you shouln't miss it! Warm temperatures, no clouds, the blue lake and many places to enjoy it.
